Emma was born and raised in Hong Kong, studying piano with Ms. Chan, Sham Siu Wai Sylvia and she attained her ATCL Piano Performance Diploma and ABRSM Grade 8 Piano.

She has always been passionate about music. During her school years in Munsang College, she was involved in the school piano quintet and participated in ensemble performances and competitions. For solo performance, she has won the First Prize with Honours in Piano Solo in Hong Kong School Music Festival. She has experience in teaching piano and being a collaborative pianist.

She is currently an undergraduate student studying Human Geography and Women and Gender Studies at the University of Toronto.
